We've come a long way baby.....
Computervice was founded in 1992 in Santa Monica, California, by Alexei
Gerulaitis, building mission-critical fault-tolerant servers and networks
designed to be "highly available" 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with
very low down-time if any. Configuring such systems gave us a great and
unique experience in high performance disk arrays, fault-tolerant
multi-processor systems, fail-over, replication and clustering technologies.
In 1994, Computervice was one of the first Computer and/or Video companies to
dive into the Digital arena when it started building Digital Video systems based
on Targa 2000E™ board from Truevision, which was one of the very first open
products in the Non-Linear Editing (NLE) industry. Since then,
Computervice has worked with and configured many systems across various
platforms and NLE applications.
We have built systems for such prestigious clients as The Tonight Show with Jay
Leno, Access Hollywood, The Drew Carey Show, NASA, Hughes Research Labs,
Pepperdine University, USC, Digital Domain and many other prominent production,
post-production and effects studios, universities, corporations and government
agencies.
DV411 continues Computervice quest forging a progressive new path in the Digital
Video industry with the latest technological advancements and as always, the
best support.
